"This Quilt Is Our Quilt"

{June, 2016 Update}

Exciting update on the Woody quilt! Donors have contributed $6,000 to the Woody Guthrie Coalition to enable the Coalition to donate "This Quilt Is Our Quilt" to the Woody Guthrie Center! Members of the Coalition board met with the director of the Woody Guthrie Center, and she eagerly accepted the donation. The Center tentatively plans to hang the quilt in the climate-controlled area where the actual archives are stored. It will be protected in this area but visible to visitors to the Center through the large glass windows that allow people to look into the archives. The Center plans signage to acknowledge the donation from the Woody Guthrie Coalition as well as the quilt's creation by The Tulsa Modern Quilt Guild.
